Object Pronouns

Spanish object pronouns replace direct and indirect objects in sentences and include forms like... 

> "me," "te," "lo," "la," "nos," "os," "los," "las" for direct objects

> "me," "te," "le," "nos," "os," "les" for indirect objects. 

+ Direct object pronouns answer "who?" or "what?" received the verb's action.

+ Indirect object pronouns answer "to whom?" or "for whom?".  

Direct Object Pronouns

These replace the noun that directly receives the action of the verb. 

me: (me)

te: (you - informal singular)

lo: (him, it, you - formal singular masculine)

la: (her, it, you - formal singular feminine)

nos: (us)

os: (you-all - familiar, only used in Spain)

los: (them, you-all - formal —formal in Spain)

las: (them, you-all - formal —formal In Spain)

Example: "Ana describe el cuadro." (Ana describes the picture) → "Ana lo describe." (Ana describes it). 

Indirect Object Pronouns

These indicate who or for whom the action of the verb is done, often answering "to whom?" or "for whom?". 

me: (to/for me)

te: (to/for you - informal singular)

le: (to/for him, her, it, you - formal singular)

nos: (to/for us)

os: (to/for you-all - familiar, only used in Spain)

les: (to/for them, you-all - formal —formal in Spain.)

Example: "Me regaló un libro." (He gave a book to me). 

Placement

In Spanish, object pronouns are typically placed before the conjugated verb. 

Example: "Yo te veo." (I see you).
